The mask and a thing to keepšš
How a simple thought process can lower your psychological strain and a thing to keep in mind for 2025
December 29, 2024
Hello, dear reader!
In two days from now, the earth will complete one revolution around the sun. Thatās the only thing guaranteed for most.
As Iām growing and moving about life, I canāt help but notice how the human race is so good at putting on masks. Everyone wears one, and no, it is not inauthentic, but rather it is the sole reason why socialization functions.
If no one wore their respective masks, social institutions, families, and society would be denigrated.
Now, how does this act we play lower our psychological constraint? The reasons are twofold.
No more existential crisis: Wearing the social mask while embracing it and being okay with it makes the brain differentiate between your authentic self and the mask that other people see. You exactly know what you want and stand for, and the mask is just a mere representation of one trait, a mix of traits, or a completely new trait! In short, you wonāt be questioning your authenticity every fucking minute, which can be really taxing psychologically.
More social points: To get to the top anywhere, you need your social skills. The mask makes up for your actual mid social skills and beautifies it however you prefer. That makes you more likeable and prominent (if used correctly) and makes networking with others far easier and fun.
A thing to remember for 2025
Hope for the best.
Prepare for the worst.
Expect nothing.
Savor everything.
Another thing for you, new year resolution bunnies:
