Reminder: The world doesn’t end when
You make a mistake
You feel like shit
You fail
It’s just a test for you to get the character you had wished for.
The weekly review📅
“The affairs of life embrace a multitude of interest, and he who reasons in any one of them, without consulting the rest, is a visionary unsuited to control the business of the world.” —James Fenimore Cooper
Everything that might require action must be reviewed on a frequent enough basis to keep your mind from taking back the job of remembering and reminding. In order to trust the rapid and intuitive judgment calls that you make about actions from moment to moment, you must consistently zoom out at some more elevated level. The weekly review does exactly that, giving you a birds-eye view of all the projects, promises, goals, etc.
All of your projects, next action, agendas, waiting for, and someday/maybe lists should be reviewed once a week. This also gives you an opportunity to ensure that your brain is clear and that all the loose strands of the past few days have been organized.
The weekly review is the time to:
Gather and process all your obligations, projects, goals, actions, etc.
Update your list if some things are irrelevant on it
Get all of that clear and clean
You have to use your mind to get things off your mind. Initially, there will be mistakes made, but overtime, the more complete that system is, the more you’ll trust it. And the more you trust it, the more complete you’ll be motivated to keep it. The weekly review is a master key to maintaining that standard.
Being a clear thinker is a better variable to garner success than to just be smart. The weekly review helps one to be the former as well as the latter!
