The problem
You’re on that same normal day. The same day like yesterday where you don’t feel like to workout, study, read, etc. It becomes an endless loop because you cannot push the rock on the other side of the hill. Day in and day out, you keep on struggling with these thoughts. These thoughts become an odd limitation, like an ant stuck inside an imaginary barrier.
You get agitated. You start creating mental barriers for yourself that are not good at all. But what if I told you there’s a better way to go about these times? Sometimes, you need to make things feel more enjoyable in order to make them effective. Sure, it’s not always sunshine and rainbows. But there are some ways to savor the sunshine and push ahead with the things essential to you.
So here are two ways on how to make tasks fun in the two most important domains of your life:
Physical
Rock music🤘🎸
Yeah, that’s right. There is nothing better than some adrenaline-pumping rock music when the set doesn’t feel right. I swear listening to rock and working out gives you a better pump than not doing it (it’s probably placebo). This also works with gaining momentum in runs. Don’t look for meaning in the lyrics; just feel the rush of that passion in the guitar.
Mental
Photo of your idol🖼📷
When you don’t feel like doing that extra question, looking at the photo of your idol and wondering what he/she would do in this situation helps more than you think. But choose an idol that you want to be rather than the one who is just funny.
