Hello, Dear Reader!
When faced with an immediate change or drift in your day-to-day life, chaos is a natural response. It’s the muscle being trained that has not been exposed to resistance yet.
The tendency during this is to blame the world for it’s ways.
The classic victim mindset.
That immediate drift in life gives you papercuts you never expected. Persevearing down that convenient road is dangerous. You wouldn’t do it if you loved your future self.
But, I have found that one critical nature’s call (without your phone) is that sacred moment of actualization that “Oh! Now my shit is kind of going downhill. What the hell am I doing?!”
Then you recoup order with courage. That muscle builds endurance. You gain experience and wisdom.
Don’t ignore those enlightened pauses (they don’t have to be during a poo). Maybe it’s the antidote to the chaos ensued by the alternating current of life.
A new method of memory🧠📸
Recently, I’ve learned an odd yet interesting method of developing a photographic memory. From my experience (4 cards), it’s actually been helpful to understand concepts in a simple yet deep manner.
The System
3 rules for the notes:
simplicity (nots should not look like copy paste)
personal connection (connect the dots with your own life or things you understand)
Benefit from human-specific memory biases
How it works:
1. Grab an index card
2. Title it with what you want to remember
3. Fill the card with information about the subject. Make it sound personal and VERY informal
4. Write your own connection (or personal example) to the info
5. Draw a picture (should be visualized)
Example
I clearly am new to this method. There is always room for improvement!
